The ripe roof deck may very well be one of the best 4th of July spots in DC.  We’re close enough to the launch site to have a really great view, but far enough away to avoid the crowds and traffic.  And what’s more, our roof has all the amenities – comfy chairs to lounge around in while you wait for the fireworks to start, a great sound system for blasting Bob Marley and other summer-ey music, and a brand spankin’ new grill.  We’ve been so excited by our new grill that we not only cooked up a storm on the 4th, but we’ve also continued to grill various things for lunch nearly every day this week.

While several of us brought friends and family over to the studio to watch the fireworks on Monday, Tomas was lucky enough to get an invite to view the fireworks from P.O.V, the rooftop lounge at the W Hotel right next to the White House.  If there’s one place that’s a better fireworks viewing location than our roof, it might be P.O.V.  Tomas snapped a series of photos on his iPhone – looks like they had a pretty impressive show!  And what better way to show those photos than with an artsy animated gif?
