We were excited to hear today via a Washington CityPaper article that the Hirshhorn “bubble” project is moving along, to be funded by and named for Bloomberg. Basically they’re putting a giant balloon in the middle of the donut-shaped museum. We approve of this, and in fact we think it’s not going far enough. For the city’s consideration we have done a few quick sketches of more Bloomberg balloons installed at various DC landmarks.
In other, more sensical news, we are looking forward to attending AIGA’s Schmoozeday next week. A lot of applicants for our still-available junior designer position have requested some face-time with us, but unfortunately we’re so busy that we can’t make time to meet with everyone, although we wish we could. (Hence, why we need a junior designer.) So if you really want to meet us, we’d love to see you on Wednesday the 28th at 6:30 at Scion.
